FAQ

Where are you located and what are your hours of operation?
We are conveniently located one mile from 285 (inside the perimeter) at 4895 South Atlanta Road, 30339 and we are open 7 days a week!
What age do you recommend that children begin private weekly lessons?

We recommend that children begin taking private weekly lessons after age 5! We have two wonderful programs to offer students that are from infant to 5 years – our Intro to Music for 4 and 5-year-olds, and also Ms. Jennifer’s Music Together, that is geared towards infants through 4 years. It creates an amazing foundation for your little ones and sets them up for success to transition seamlessly to weekly private lessons with us.

Do you teach adults as well as children?
Yes! We think that anyone and everyone can benefit from a music education and highly encourage older students to pick up a previously learned instrument or discover a new passion. There are multiple group and individual performance opportunities for our adult students, and we love to see our older students thrive!
How long are lessons?
Private lessons typically are 30 minutes long for the beginner student (one hour lessons for a more serious student or two instruments) – whichever you prefer! Either way, your lessons will be at the same time and day every week to ensure that you get to have YOUR timeslot and teacher each week.
What is the cost of tuition?
Studio lessons are a minimum of 30 minutes, starting at $35/lesson ($140 per month) and each family is charged a $50 family registration that covers all immediate family members. If you are a homeschooler or adult, we have special “non-prime time” discounted pricing, please see below.
Do you have a discounted rate for homeschoolers and adults?
Yes! Between the hours of 10A-2P Monday through Friday, we are happy to offer a discounted rate of $100/month.
I am an adult student with an inconsistent schedule, do you have any options available for flexible scheduling?
Yes! We offer flex passes for our young adults and adult students only which entails purchasing 4 lessons that must be used within a 60-day window. Flex passes are available for $115 during our discounted hours of 10A-2P Monday through Friday, and all other times are $150.
Do you offer discounts for siblings?
Our discount for siblings and families is that there is only one family registration applied to each family, rather than each child being charged an individual registration fee.
Do I need to purchase an instrument before my first lesson?
No! We have trial instruments available at our studio for you to try initially to get a feel for what you might like. Once you feel comfortable with your instrument decision, we recommend visiting our good friends at Sam Ash on Cobb Parkway near LA Fitness. We have a longstanding relationship with them and love sending our students to them for all of their instrument and equipment needs! Be sure to mention that you are a student with us to receive a special discount.
Are there any additional costs associated with lessons?
Other than purchasing (or renting) your instrument and any related supplies, the additional costs are very minimal! We stock age/level appropriate books have them available for purchase at your first lesson. Periodically, your teacher may encourage additional books or curriculum which will be billed to you. Our open-mic nights, bi-annual recitals, client appreciation day, and more are all included in your tuition and are free of charge to you!
What performance opportunities are available to students?

We believe so strongly in the power of performance and are thrilled to offer multiple performance opportunities throughout the year. We host Summer and Winter recitals, join RevFest Music festival twice yearly as well as other events and festivals, and also offer additional opportunities for Open Mic nights every other month at our favorite neighborhood pizza spot, St. Angelo’s Pizza!

What happens if a lesson is missed?
Due to the volume of students we have at the studio, we offer a fun alternative in group makeup lessons! We hold many group makeup sessions monthly so that you have many opportunities to fit in your busy schedule, and they never expire! Some of the best musicians got to where they are because of continued practice and playing in a collaborative setting. Everyone can benefit from playing in a group and we are so happy to offer this solution for lessons that need to be made up.
How do you select your teachers?
We hand select each one of our talented teachers, and they all undergo a rigorous background check process as well as extensive reference checks. Our hiring process includes auditioning for our Teacher Coordinator as well as multiple rounds of interviews with our Office Manager, Assistant Director and our Owner and Director. We pride ourselves on offering a diverse collection of multi-talented teachers from various backgrounds and are sure to have the perfect teacher to fit your needs!
What if my teacher isn’t the right fit?
Not to worry! We understand that sometimes personalities, teaching styles, etc. may not match up and that’s okay. We are happy to accommodate your needs and find you the BEST teacher to guide you on your musical journey.
What if I want to change instruments?
No problem at all! Many of our teachers play multiple instruments, and it’s possible that you may be able to continue lessons with your same teacher.
How are lessons billed?
We bill monthly on the 1st of each month via credit card authorization. We must have a valid card on file for your account to charge your tuition automatically each month. For safety, we do not accept cash.
Do you offer an online portal for communication and account information?
Yes! We have a convenient online portal located in the top right corner of this page under “Client Portal”. Your client portal is used as your main source of communication to the Music Studio as well as a hub for all of your account information.
What if my bill is incorrect or I have an issue with my credit card?
No problem at all! Please contact the front desk with any billing inquiries or with updated credit card information – 404-351-9722.
Are there contracts for monthly lessons?
We do not require contracts of any kind, however, if you would like to stop lessons for any reason we simply require that you fill out a withdrawal form by the 15th of the last month that you would like to take lessons. For example, if you wanted to stop lessons as of September 30th, we would need your withdrawal form by September 15th.
